VRA 7.0 - Part I



VMware vRealize Automation 7.0: Installtion & Initial Configuration


Hello Guys!!!

In this post I'm going to show you how to deploy vRealize Automation.


We need to deploy the Virtual Appliance.




Here you can see that you can find your .ova.  Then click to Next.



Here You can see the Certificate Details, after click to Next.



Here Accept the EULA in click to Next.


In this part select the Folder where you can find the VM after the deployment. Click to Next.


Select the cluster and Host.  Click to Next.


Select the Datastore and Thin Provisoning in Disk Format.


Select the Network, In my case MGMT.


Configure: IP, Mask, Gateway, DNSs, admin password and more...




Select Power on after deployment.  Click to Finish.


Just wait..... until the VMware vSphere Console show you the next screen.... Follow the instuctions.





Here fill the root user and password



Click to Next


Here select I accept the terms of the agrement and click to Next


In this part use the deployment methon in my case Enterprise Deployment after click to Next.

(Take Note: You need to install the Agent in every server that you're going to use.)


In this part select the rol for every server Please refer the next picture; click to Next






In this part add vRA Appliances in my case I just going to use one VA. Then click to Next.




In this part the wizard do the Pre-requisites checker, click to Next.



For this part check the issues after that click in View Details....




Here the VRA do something awesome and you can repair all this issues automatically....... that is really good....








Here we can see the remediation process... just wait.... and click to Next when the remediation is over.




Here all is OK.  You can see details about the task remediation






Fill with the VRA DNS record in click to Next.



In this part just fill the password for the user administrator@vsphere.local 



Here fill with the DNS Records for the IaaS Web & Manager Service, Fill the password and click to Next.



Here fill the information with MS SQL Server Database; Click to Next.





Complete the information for the Web Role...





Here fill the credentials information for the Manager Service.  After that click to Next.





Login Credentials for DEM after click to Next.




This is the Agents for Endpoint in your deployment.



This is the VMware vRealize Appliance Certifiacte





This is for the Web Certificate, so fiil the information and click to Next.




This is the Manager Service Certificate; after click to Next.



Load Balancers configuration for the IaaS Web and IaaS Manager Service, just click to Next.




In this part click to validate to start the validation progress



If everything is ok just click to Next




The Next step is take snapshot for all VMs 


Just do that, take one snapshot for every vm in your vra deployment




In this part of the wizard read the details and click to Install...




After a few minutes the installation process is over; click to Next




In this part fill with the license information and click to Next.



This is for VMware Information.... You can decide that...


Initial Content... This is for do the initial catalog in the vRA.. Next



The Configuration is Over click Finish to complete the vRA installing process




After the installation We need to configure the Virtual Appliance, go to this webpage https://IPORFQDNVRA:5480



Here configure the SSO administrator@vsphere.local user


Here the vPostgres Database




The cluster information.....



Logs... Very important too.

Validate the services status....





Time Zone---- In my case GMT -5





Change network settings....






Change the root password....





And Finally we can login......
